Chronic diseases
In the context of influenza vaccination, the following conditions are recognized as chronic diseases:

Anatomical or functional asplenia

Conditions leading to immunosuppression (e.g. cancer, infection with
HIV)

Chronic renal failure or nephrotic syndrome

Chronic heart or lung disease severe enough to require
regular medical monitoring or hospital care

Asthma severe enough to require regular medical monitoring or treatment
hospital,

Conditions leading to decreased secretion clearance
respiratory or aspiration risks (e.g .: cognitive impairment, lesion
spinal cord, seizure disorder, neuromuscular disorder)

Chronic liver disease

Anemia
-
Haemophilia
-
Significant obesity (BMI ≥ 40)

Inborn error of metabolism

Long-term treatment with acetylsalicylic acid (For young people aged
under 18)
